Growing up, our mothers taught us to share. So we do.
Follow along with us as we create, explore, and enjoy our real, beautiful life…
I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and received a double degree in Marketing and Management from Iowa State University. After graduation, I moved to Seattle, where I met my husband, and am now working at Microsoft as a Staffing Consultant for the Online Services Division.
I’m a pseudo-runner, avid book-worm, and the soon-to-be mother to the most precious little boy. I enjoy playing with my dogs, spending time with my family, and believe that there is always time for a good glass of wine.
THE MAN : MATT
I met Matt shortly after moving to Seattle and we were married 3 years later on September 9, 2009. He grew up in Chicago and received a degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. Later, he switched gears by teaching himself software development and started working for Microsoft in 1999, where he is currently a Test Manager for XBOX Connected Experiences.
While he loves his job, Matt’s true passion is food and wine – he’s an amazing chef and even started making his own wine about 3 years ago. At any given moment, he would easily sell everything and move us all to Italy where he’d love to open a restaurant and winery.
THE BOY : HARRISON
On March 21, 2012 we made the giant leap from pregnancy to parenthood when we welcomed our first child, Harrison Matthew, into our family.
He has already stolen our hearts and we can’t wait to watch him grow!
As first time parents, we are trying to learn as quickly as possible, take one day at a time…and get sleep when we can.
THE PUPS : KASEY & MADDOX
Kasey was born on 2/17/2007 and became the first addition to the Golz family when she was 8 weeks old. She is part German Sheppard and part Labrador Retriever. When she was just 4 weeks old, Kasey was rescued by the ASPCA and stayed with a foundation helping juveniles until we adopted her. We feel so blessed to have her in our family as she is the sweetest dog we’ve ever known…and a huge Daddy’s girl!
Maddox is our Rottweiler/Lab mixed “puppy.” He was born on 5/21/2007, so technically no longer considered a puppy, but he’ll always remain one in my heart. We adopted him from an Indian Reservation when he was 10 weeks old. At first, he was so independent that we were convinced he didn’t like us; however he quickly became a crazy, free-spirited, and food-driven Momma’s boy with a huge heart.

Hi, Jenna. It has been too long since I have had a chance to say hi, and how are you. think of you often and hope all is well. I am so excited to see all the West’s this October 15th. It is fast approaching and the little details are left, I am not much of a detail person so could be some rough waters the next couple of weeks. Tell Matt hi, love you, Aunt Donell
